Marisela Villanueva, LMFT, LPCS
Mari is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. For the past 10 years, she has had the privilege to live out her calling which is to serve (work with) people by helping them improve their emotional, spiritual, and relational wellbeing. Her professional work has not been limited to a clinical setting. She has also been deployed to work with those affected by a national crisis.
She believes that biblical principles coupled with professional skills are key in helping someone through their journey of reaching a healthier state of being. Encountering difficulties in this life is normal and natural, thus, everyone should be shown compassion and understanding.
Mari views every individual as inherently unique, valuable, and filled with purpose. She believes that each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are worthy of being seen and honored. This perspective shapes the foundation of her therapeutic approach, where she creates a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their inner world without judgment.

Dr. Susan is a seasoned therapist with over 40 years of experience specializing in couples therapy and touch therapy. Her work is rooted in a deep understanding of emotional connection, attachment patterns, and the transformative power of safe, attuned physical presence. Throughout her career, she has helped countless couples navigate relational challenges, rebuild trust, and foster deeper intimacy by integrating both verbal and somatic modalities.
Dr. Susan’s approach is both compassionate and grounded, drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices as well as her own rich clinical wisdom. She emphasizes the importance of presence, safety, and emotional attunement in healing relationship wounds. Her use of touch therapy—always consensual, ethical, and trauma-informed—supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies, releasing stored tension, and cultivating a greater sense of belonging and self-worth within their partnerships.

With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Michelle is a seasoned psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She is qualified to offer comprehensive medication management and is certified in both CBT and EMDR. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, maternal mental wellness, addictions, and senior-geriatric care, supporting individuals at various stages of their mental wellness journey.
Michelle’s therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive environment where active listening and in-depth evaluation help uncover the root causes of distress. She combines evidence-based therapies with personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Clients can expect a collaborative process that integrates therapeutic interventions and medication management.
In the first session, the focus is on building understanding, identifying strengths, and introducing actionable tools such as coping strategies, self-care techniques, and mindfulness practices that can be applied in daily life.

Her passion lies in supporting people affected by domestic violence and human trafficking, offering them compassionate care and guidance as they rebuild their lives. Hilda’s leadership, empathy, and unwavering advocacy are central to our mission and the healing journey of those we serve.
Tony brings a lifetime of service, skill, and dedication to our organization. A retired fireman and Air Force Reserve veteran, he served over 30 years as a flight engineer on C-130 and C-5 aircrafts. Tony continues to give back by providing hands-on support—repairing, building, and maintaining the essential tools and spaces we rely on. His deep knowledge of antique cars and firearms reflects his passion for mechanics, history, and craftsmanship. Tony’s quiet strength and problem-solving spirit are an invaluable part of our team
Sandy is a devoted wife, mother of two, and a compassionate nurse who has discovered her calling in hospice care. A natural nurturer, she brings warmth, empathy, and quiet strength to every aspect of her work. Guided by her deep faith, Sandy views her service to others as a reflection of her commitment to God, living each day with gratitude and purpose. She believes she is here by God’s grace alone, and she strives to honor that grace by caring for others with dignity, love, and humility.

With a love for botany and gardening, he tends to the grounds with care, creating a welcoming and peaceful environment for all who come through our doors. Beyond his hands-on contributions, Manny supports our mission in a powerful way by generously offering the use of the shelter property without charging rent. His commitment to service and community reflects a heart rooted in kindness and stewardship.

Terry is a retired registered nurse who brings a lifetime of care, service, and faith to all he does. He lives in the peaceful countryside of San Marcos with his wife of 50 years, enjoying a quiet rural life and tending to his beloved cows. A passionate student and teacher of Scripture, Terry finds great purpose in sharing God’s Word with others. His heart for ministry and deep biblical knowledge make him a valued contributor to B’Nai-El Ministries, where he dedicates his time to encouraging others in their walk with the Lord.
